RWA Day 2
(posted 04 Aug 2008)
Day 2 at the RWA conference gave me a chance to see some of the city as well as meet with other author friends.
I started my day with breakfast with Cindy Kirk and Nancy Robards Thompson. Then we headed out to the Legion of Honor Museum to see a special exhibit of the women Impressionists. Outside of the museum was the Rodin statue of The Thinker and we couldn’t resist doing a little thinking of our own!

There was a Chihuly sculpture in the garden as well. Readers, you may remember that Chihuly glass played a huge part in The Six-Month Mistress. I really enjoyed seeing both examples of his work at this museum. There was an installation at another SF museum but I wasn’t able to find the time to see it.
We got back in time for a meeting with my agent, Pamela Hardy. Pamela and I left the hotel and found a nice bar with a lot of character to have a glass of wine and catch up.
Then it was time for the Kensington Cocktail party. I had meet Audrey LeFehr for the first time and it was nice to chat with her.
Here I am at dinner at the restaurant that parts of The Maltese Falcon were filmed.
Then I hit the eHarlequin pajama party and had a chance to visit with Dream one of my favorite people and the host for some of the boards on eHarlequin.
One more day of RWA fun to come tomorrow!
Happy Reading,
Kathy

Chatty Kathy is a place for me to share some my thoughts on whatever topic I'm interested in. Lots of reviews of books I've read, some commentary on music that I like and some fun stuff that is related to whatever book I'm
