Wintery weather

Finally winter has come to Dallas. It’s cold and we have a wintery mix coming today. My kids have prayed for a snow day and to be honest I’m hoping for one as well. I love that first snow fall of the season. Even when we lived in Chicago where it snowed a lot more than it does here, I still loved the snow. Probably because of growing up in Florida and always longing to see snow. Like many Floridians I didn’t see my first snow until I was an adult.
There is something magical about the quiet way that snow falls on the ground covering everything and leaving the land white and pure. Untouched for those few moments until someone walks on it.
I’m sure those of you who live in places where it snows all the time or where you get blizzards might not share my fascination and love of snow but I really enjoy it a lot.
