  15. My resolutions are to read more, and to keep myself healthy.

by Lisa M on January 18th, 2008 at 8:52 am

  16. My resolution is to start doing things I enjoy. My life is full of “to-do” lists, countless meetings that get me nowhere, and endless banter from people I just can’t stand. I get stressed easily and I am often known as a grouch. So I plan to start doing things for me–things that I have denied myself for no reason at all. I love to paint and sculpt, travel, read, bake meticulous pastries, and have a meaningful conversation over a cup of four dollar coffee. I am hoping this will alleviate a lot of stress and make life something I live, not just something I do.

  32. There are so many great books coming out each year that I have more books than I have the time to read. So I hope to either free up more time to read or become more selective when it comes to my book choices. Easier said than done.

by Sue A. on January 30th, 2008 at 12:07 am

  33. I notice that many have said to make more time to read–mine is a little bit the opposite. I have always been an avid reader, and probably need to put the book down occasionally and get some of the things around the house done. So far, haven’t done too well with it this year. So many books that are crying to be read!!

  36. I don’t really have any resolutions. I try just to start every day by being a good wife and mother. I know that sounds so cliched but it’s important to me to make those two things a priority every day.

by natalie felton on February 2nd, 2008 at 11:44 pm

  64. Hmm…I thought I would limit my resolution to just one this year so that I would have an actual chance of achieving it. So, I selected being “consistent” with my exercising as my resolution. However, I haven’t really been able to do ANY exercising yet in 2008. See, my mom’s birthday, stepdad’s birthday, and my birthday all fell in January, so…there were several family and friends gatherings, meaning there several cakes and dinner parties, all in the name of celebration of course, so I couldn’t really exercise in January. I mean, what would have been the point if I was only going to eat yummy but unhealthy things many times during the month? And now, it’s February, and with Valentine’s Day coming up soon, that means dinner and desserts, so February may not work either…well, not until towards the end of the month. But March is my sister’s birthday month, hence cake and dinner. So maybe in April, I can really get on it. Although, May is the birthday month for both my cousin and one of my best friends…so more cakes. And June is my brother’s birthday month, meaning—dinner and cake, of course. Then there is the 4th of July bbque. Hmm…I may need to rethink the whole exercising thing, can’t really work on being “consistent” if I can’t even work out at all :) Well, maybe, I will get a random burst of motivation and will get to working out and stop procrastinating :) On a different note, I have been very consistent with my reading! lol
