Happy New Year
(posted 04 Jan 2008)
I hope that you rang in 2008 with lots of cheer!
I’m very excited about 2008 because last year saw a lot of change in my life and I feel like I’m starting a new chapter. The books I have coming out this year are a bit different than the books I’ve written in the past. Starting off this month is The Greek Tycoon’s Secret Heir. It is the first book in my Sons of Privilege series from Silhouette Desire. What makes this book different from my other Desires is the exotic locale…Mykonos and the hero who is a super-alpha male.
Now I like a man who isn’t afraid to go after what he wants and I think my heroes have always been strong willed but Christos is also a bit arrogant. To be honest I don’t really like an arrogant man but in this book Ava is more than able to take on Christos and his arrogance and bring him to his knees.
In February you get the story of one of Christos’ best-friends Tristan Sabina. Tristan is a wealthy French publishing magnate. And again I got to use an international setting for the book…it starts in Mykonos and then they go to Paris and then finally Manhattan. This story is particularly dear to me because the heroine shares a lot of my own fears and issues. And the hero is a really great guy underneath his tough-guy exterior. But another reason why I love this story so much is that I wrote it while I was falling in love. And there was something kind of magical about writing about love and experiencing it in my life at the same time.
In March I finish up the Sons of Privilege with Count Guillermo’s story. This story starts in Manhattan and then takes place in Madrid. This story is one of passion and jealous and is filled with lots of drama.
I hope you enjoy this mini-series as much as I enjoyed writing it. And I also hope that 2008 is an exciting year for you and your family.
